“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert on Monday night spotted a report that President Donald Trump’s feelings were recently hurt over a relatively standard diplomatic gesture thousands of miles away.
“Trump is not just a sack of incompetence and malice,” Colbert said on Monday night. “He is also very thin-skinned.”
The source of his ire? Britain’s King Charles III, who invited Trump to London for a state visit but then also had the nerve to welcome Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a separate event.
“Trump is privately fuming that the king makes other leaders feel special, too,” Colbert said, citing a Daily Beast headline.
