O'Donnell, who famously feuded with Donald Trump, opened up about moving to a new country just prior to the start of the president's second term.
Rosie O’Donnell took to social media on Tuesday to reveal that she’s moved from the U.S. to Ireland and, so far, her time there has been “pretty wonderful.”
The comedian — who famously feuded with Donald Trump — shared a lengthy TikTok video where she noted that she moved to Ireland with her daughter Dakota on Jan. 15, less than a week before the start of the president’s second term.
“I miss many things about life there at home and I’m trying to find a home here in this beautiful country and when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that’s when we will consider coming back,” said O’Donnell, who teased the move last week on her now-private Instagram page.
O’Donnell — who noted that she’s in the process of obtaining Irish citizenship in the TikTok video — said people in the country have been “so loving,” “so kind” and “so welcoming.”
Her move comes after she revealed that her beachfront home in Malibu was “gone” while a separate, rental home in Santa Monica was “OK” after wildfires tore through the Los Angeles area in January.
