‘Ugly Betty’ star Eric Mabius arrested for battery after alleged bar fight with female in Florida

Eric Mabius, the actor best known for his work on the TV show “Ugly Betty,” was arrested for battery and resisting a law enforcement officer without violence on Thursday morning after an alleged bar fight with a woman, The Post can confirm.
The star, 53, was taken into custody by officers from the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department in Florida on Thursday at 2:13 a.m. ET. Mabius, who is a Florida resident, was booked into the Nassau County Jail and Detention Center at 5:45 a.m.
Both Mabius’ battery and resisting an officer without violence charges are misdemeanors.
According to Mabius’ arrest report obtained by The Post, the actor was with a female companion who was asked to leave the bar “several times” by the bartender and “even a few patrons” because she was “continuously being disrespectful.”
The woman with Mabius allegedly started spitting on people before turning to the alleged victim “as if she was going to spit on her.”
When the alleged victim told Mabius’ companion that she needed to leave, the woman began pushing her, according to the written statement. It was at this point that Mabius allegedly got involved, reportedly knocking both the alleged victim and his friend to the ground.
