Everyone is about to learn how talented Jon Batiste is.
The 38-year-old multi-hyphenate performer will sing the national anthem at the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans this Sunday.
Batiste’s performance will kick off the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles in his native Louisiana. This marks his first appearance at the Super Bowl as a performer.
He follows in Reba McEntire’s footsteps, who sang the national anthem at the 2024 Super Bowl.
The other 2025 Super Bowl performers include Lauren Daigle and Trombone Shorty, who are singing “America the Beautiful,” Ledisi, who is performing “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” and Kendrick Lamar, who is headlining the halftime show.
Last month, Batiste told Entertainment Tonight that he wants his Super Bowl performance to last “the test of time.”
