Pema Khandu flags issue of tribal girl child’s rights over property
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandhu has sought a social awakening against polygamy among the indigenous communities of the State and a proper debate on property rights for the girl child. Polygamy is prevalent in several of the 26 tribes and more than 100 sub-tribes in the frontier State. Mr. Khandu said polygamy needed to become obsolete in the modern world.More Related News
The event will run daily from 10 a.m. to 8.30 p.m., offering a variety of activities. Visitors can enjoy dance and music performances, hands-on art experiences, film screenings, and exhibitions from 10.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. These will feature folk cuisines, leather puppets, philately, textiles, and handicrafts.
