Thodasam Kailash, a government school teacher from Telangana’s tribal heartland of Adilabad, earned appreciation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to preserve Kolami tribal language. According to official sources, the Prime Minister mentioned about Mr. Kailash’s efforts to compose songs in Kolami and other languages using AI tools during the 119th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday. Meanwhile, Union Minister of Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy in a post on ‘X’ (formerly twitter) lauded Mr Kailash’s initiative to harness technology to preserve our rich cultural heritage for posterity.
