In a brief interaction with mediapersons in Gobichettipalayam on Monday (February 24, 2025), after distributing sweets to the public on the occasion of former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa’s 77th birthday, he said the entire nation recognised the AIADMK’s strength and with the blessings of former Chief Ministers M.G. Ramachandran and Jayalalithaa, the party would return to power in Tamil Nadu.
He added that based on the directions of the party’s general secretary and Leader of the Opposition (Edappadi K. Palaniswami), a public meeting would be held on Tuesday (February 25, 2025). The MLA emphasised that while cadre should gather in Chennai to pay respects to a leader on his/her death anniversary, birthdays should be celebrated joyously across regions to inspire both party functionaries and the public.
When asked about Mr. Palaniswami’s remark that “a wolf and a goat cannot stand united,” Mr. Sengottaiyan said: “You should ask him (about this).“
