Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), represented by its Information Systems Department, announced that it has obtained the ISO 20000:2018 certification for IT Service Management and the ISO 27001:2022 certification for Information Security Management from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
This achievement comes after successfully implementing the latest international standards in IT service delivery and management and adopting best practices in information security and risk assessment.
In a statement yesterday, the ministry revealed that the certificates were handed over to Director of the Information Systems Department and the ministry’s representative, Ahmed Ali Al Kuwari.
The ministry considers obtaining these certifications as a reflection of its ability to adhere to recognized international standards and its commitment to providing high-quality services to its clients, while ensuring the highest levels of security and confidentiality for all parties involved, thereby creating a secure and effective work environment.
The ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 certifications are among the most trusted and globally recognized certifications in IT service management and information security.
