Kodandarama rides Surya Prabha and Chandra Prabha Vahanams

Kodandarama idol processions during Brahmotsavams draw huge crowds, with additional rituals at Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple.
The processional idol of Kodandarama was taken out on ‘Surya Prabha Vahanam’ in the morning and ‘Chandra Prabha Vahanam’ in the evening on Wednesday, the seventh day of the nine-day Brahmotsavams.
The processions were witnessed by a huge gathering of devotees, who congregated on the four ‘mada’ streets encircling the temple premises.
Meanwhile, the ‘Dhwajasthamba Samprokshanam’ was performed at Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple in Appalayagunta on Wednesday. ‘Vaastu Homam’ was performed from 8 a.m., followed by Vedic rituals under the guidance of chief priest Surya Kumaracharyulu.
