Telangana launches Bhu Bharathi portal to solve land transaction issues, ensuring efficient revenue services for people.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will launch the much-anticipated Bhu Bharathi portal (Record of Rights) on April 14 that will lead to the solving the problems related to land transactions over the last 10 years.
Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that Telangana Bhu Bharati (Record of Rights) Act would ensure that people were given efficient and comprehensive revenue services.
He said that the previous BRS government had enacted the RoR Act without framing necessary rules and procedures that led to complications in land transactions related to lakhs of farmers.
The Minister said the previous government did not provide legality to the powers to correct the errors in the Dharani records. Only a circular was issued thus making it impossible to officially change the record. Moreover, issues like maintenance of Pahani and Village Revenue Accounts, and regularization of Sadabainams were also ignored. Now, all these problems would be solved through the new Act, he said.
He said the Bhu Bharati portal would resolve age old disputes and the department was taking steps to deliver better services to the people.
