State government addresses Governor's concerns over Bills, aiming to resolve confrontation through constitutional procedures and clarifications.
As the State government’s confrontation with Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot is unlikely to end soon over Bills, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H.K. Patil said that the State government is in process of sending the Governor the clarifications that he has sought.
Speaking to reporters here, Mr. Patil said: “We will have to discuss about Bills returned by the Governor in the Cabinet. There are opportunities in the Constitution to find solutions. There are instructions available in the Constitution on how to proceed. Article 200 gives clear directions to both the Raj Bhavan and the State government in this regard,” he said.
On providing clarifications, he said the State is hopeful that the Raj Bhavan will accept them and clear the Bills.
