The reported breakup of Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, and wife Bianca Censori captured the public’s attention on Thursday — but now his representative says all was not as it seemed.
On Thursday, outlets such as TMZ, Page Six, and the Daily Mail reported that the couple was headed toward a split. The Daily Mail cited sources close to Ye who allegedly claimed “that the couple have now broken up and that they expect a legal filing to end the marriage in the coming days.”
But love appears to still be in the air for the duo, according to Milo Yiannopoulos, who represents the artist.
“Ye and Bianca are in Los Angeles, about to enjoy Valentine’s Day together. Announcements about their private life will come from them directly, not unsourced rumor in the tabloid press,” Yiannopoulos said in a statement provided to The Hollywood Reporter and later confirmed by Entertainment Weekly. The rep went on to emphasize that this is either the “fifth” or “sixth” instance that outlets have misreported the couple’s relationship status.
Yiannopoulos didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from HuffPost.
