The late night host isn't impressed by the president's deal-making powers.
Jimmy Kimmel said President Donald Trump offered up an early Valentine’s Day gift to “Sugar Vladdy,” aka Russian President Vladimir Putin, ahead of talks on ending the war in Ukraine.
“What a negotiator this Donald Trump is,” Kimmel said sarcastically. “They haven’t even started talks yet, Trump has already offered two huge concessions.”
The Trump administration has said it won’t support Ukraine’s bid for membership in NATO, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Ukraine won’t get back all of the territory seized by Russia.
“Russia is like, ‘well you drive a hard bargain, Mr. Trump. Tell you what: Throw in everything else we want, and we have a deal’,” Kimmel said. “It’s honestly amazing the guy only bankrupted three casinos.”
While Trump likes to brag of his business acumen, his Atlantic City casinos went into bankruptcy multiple times and were eventually sold off and/or shut down, as The New York Times explained in a 2016 report.
