JEE result: Kushagra Gupta, only student from Karnataka to score 100 percentile

Kushagra Gupta from Karnataka secures 100 percentile in JEE Main 2025, with Udit Jaiswal and Bhavesh Jayanthi as other toppers.
Kushagra Gupta is the only student from Karnataka who has managed to secure 100 percentile score in the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2025, session 1 of paper 1. Fourteen students secured 100 percentile in the country.
Among other toppers from the State is Udit Jaiswal, who secured 99.996 percentile. A student of Geethanjali Vidyalaya, Kaggadasapura, Udit attends classes at Allen and spent four to five hours outside school hours on JEE preparation. With a keen interest in aerospace rockets, Udit has a much-cherished telescope for sky gazing, which he resorts to when he finds time. “The interest in space came when I was reading something about it long ago. I love exploring new spaces,” he said.
Bhavesh Jayanthi, a student of Sri Chithanya Techno School, Marthahalli, secured 99.9992 percentile. He secured 100 percentile in Maths and Physics, while his Chemistry percentile is 99.964. Originally from Hyderabad, Bhavesh was with Sri Chaithanya Whitefield till class 10, before shifting to their Marthahalli branch in class 11. “Maths has been my favourite subject and my forte. It has been so since my childhood. I like computer science and coding. I used to code when in high school, when I used to find time,” he said.
The National Testing Agency announced the result of JEE (Main)-2025, session 1 of paper 1 for the entrance of professional courses like BE/B.Tech in premier technical institutions like Indian Institute Technologies (IITs), on Tuesday (February 11).
This year, including two girls, a total of 14 candidates secured 100 percentile score. Rajasthan has the highest number of top scorers with five students. Following this, two students each from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh have secured 100 percentile.
The JEE (Main) 2025 session-1 of paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) was conducted by NTA from January 22 to 29. As many as 12,58,136 candidates appeared for the examination, conducted at 618 centres in 304 cities, including 15 outside India.
