Hyderabad airport recorded highest-ever monthly passenger traffic in November

Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) achieved its highest-ever monthly passenger traffic in November, crossing the 25-lakh mark. According to the monthly traffic report released by GMR Airports Limited, RGIA handled a total of 25.31 lakh passengers, reflecting a 1% month-on-month (MoM) growth and a 25% year-on-year (YoY) increase.
The airport also recorded 16,667 aircraft movements in November, marking a 5% decline compared to the previous month and showing a 15% increase over the same period last year. Of the total passenger traffic, domestic travellers contributed substantially, accounting for 21 lakh passengers, the highest-ever number recorded. The busiest day for RGIA was November 10, when it handled approximately 89,000 passengers in a single day, as per the report.
In the current financial year, RGIA has already recorded a total passenger traffic of 1.8 crore, representing a 15% YoY increase. Comparatively, the airport handled 2.5 crore passengers in FY 2024. Aircraft movements in the ongoing financial year have also seen a steady rise, with RGIA recording 1.29 lakh movements so far, marking a 14% YoY increase. For the entire FY 2024, the airport had managed a total of 1.73 lakh aircraft movements.
