Travel advisory for Hyderabad's RGIA over Ugadi and Eid weekend: arrive 2 hours early for domestic, 3 hours for international flights.
Passengers flying out of Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) over the Ugadi and Id long weekend have been advised to reach at least two hours before domestic departures and three hours before international flights.
In a travel advisory issued on Thursday (March 27, 2025), the airport authorities warned of high demand for cabs and longer wait times from March 29 to 31. “With the Ugadi and Eid long weekend, expect high demand for cabs and longer airport wait times. Plan your commute in advance and explore alternate transport options,” the advisory stated.
While Telugu new year Ugadi is scheduled to be celebrated on March 30, the date for celebration of Id-ul-Fitr is linked to sighting of the crescent moon.
