Giants might as well wait for Aaron Rodgers’ decision at this point
NY Post
How long is too long?
For those who look at the Giants’ pursuit of Aaron Rodgers and think “Are you kidding me?” — this has already gone on for an exorbitant amount of time. For those who view Rodgers as the best veteran quarterback option out there and are not scared off by his eccentricities, age and flair for the controversial, there is no overarching desire to move off Rodgers, because the other guys out there are nothing to get excited about.
Everyone out there seems to be in such a rush on this — everyone, that is, except the Giants.
The longer this goes on and the more dubious the names that appear on the list — Jameis Winston is the newest one to surface — the more open the Giants leave themselves to memes and mockery. At this point, the franchise cannot escape all this, no matter what they do. Why fight it? Going 3-14 in the season that feted their 100th anniversary — including a record 10-game losing streak — was such a kick in the head that it is going to take real, tangible winning to cleanse the stink that has been emanating from the Giants for more than a decade now.
