Flavor Flav Honors Jordan Chiles With A Medal-Worthy Gift At VMAs

The Public Enemy rapper followed up on his promise to the Olympian after she was stripped of a bronze medal at the games.
Flavor Flav gave Jordan Chiles a dazzling surprise at the MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday, after the gymnast’s Olympic bronze medal was stripped from her this summer.
The Public Enemy rapper — who became a beloved hype man for Team USA at the Paris games this summer — previously vowed to come through with a gift “NO ONE else has” in the form of a sparkling bronze-colored clock, a piece that takes inspiration from Flav’s iconic accessory.
The moment came roughly a month after an arbitration panel said it wouldn’t reconsider its decision on Chiles’ medal. USA Gymnastics pledged to continue to “pursue every possible avenue and appeal process,” including a potential court case.
Flav, who took the stage with Chiles to present the Best Collaboration category, turned the VMAs appearance into a “little Olympic moment.”
