Enforcement Directorate raids SDPI office in Malappuram as part of nation-wide search for money-laundering allegations.
Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers raided the office of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) in Malappuram, Kerala, on Thursday (March 6, 2025).
The raid was part of a nation-wide search on the premises of the offices of SDPI, the political wing of the banned organisation Popular Front of India (PFI).
ED officers said simultaneous raids were held at 11 SDPI centres in connection with money-laundering allegations.
SDPI national president M.K. Faizy was arrested three days ago by ED officers, sparking protests from the cadres at several places, including Malappuram.
The raid in Malappuram started around 10 a.m. and continued into the midday.
