BJP workers in Puducherry celebrate foundation day with rally led by S. Selvaganbathy and other party leaders.
BJP workers on Saturday held a rally in Puducherry as part of its foundation day celebrations.
Led by Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and party’s Puducherry unit president S. Selvaganbathy, BJP workers took out a rally from Saram to Raja Theatre junction. The BJP national leadership has directed its units in States and Union Territories to organise week-long events to mark the 45th foundation day of the party.
Besides Mr. Selvaganabathy, Minister for Social Welfare A. K. Sai J. Saravanan Kumar, legislators P.M.L. Kalyanasundaram, A. John Kumar and Richards Johnkumar participated in the rally.

A major operation is under way in Kodagu district to capture two elusive tigers that have been sighted in Theralu and surrounding villages under the jurisdiction of Birunani Gram Panchayat. The forest department, supported by elephants from the Dubare elephant camp—Gopi and Srirama—has been involved in the effort for the past five days.
