Actor Aubrey Plaza had separated from her husband, Jeff Baena, four months before his death in January at the age 47, investigators said in a report released Wednesday.
The two were married in 2021 after 10 years together, but a report by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner reveals that the 47-year-old director and 40-year-old “Parks And Recreation” star separated in September 2024.
The report also reveals that Plaza had called a friend in October 2024 and asked them to do a welfare check on Baena after she heard him say remarks she found “concerning.”
Baena reportedly started going to therapy after that incident, and he had reported having difficulties sleeping.
The report said on Jan. 3, the day of Baena’s death, he sent Plaza a text around 7:30 a.m. His body was found later in the day when his dog walker entered the residence.
The actor declared that they “aren’t the worst.”
But the series may return on another streaming platform.
