Gwyneth Paltrow Expertly Shuts Down Meghan Markle Comparisons

The Duchess of Sussex’s latest foray into the lifestyle space got people talking.

Gwyneth Paltrow hasn’t watched Meghan Markle’s new show, but she knows enough to lend her support to the royal.

In a new interview with Vanity Fair, the Goop founder said that when “there’s noise about certain women in the culture, I do have, always, a strong instinct to stand up for them.”

The Duchess of Sussex’s latest foray into the lifestyle space with her new brand, As Ever, and her new Netflix show has led to comparisons to Paltrow, Martha Stewart and the like.

But Paltrow won’t stand for anyone using her likeness to tear The Tig founder down.

“I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes,” the Oscar winner told the outlet. “I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.”
