Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the demise of Manmohan Singh, calling him an intellectual and a statesman who uplifted millions through his visionary economic reforms and tireless leadership. “His passing is a great loss to the nation,” he stated.

Mr. Naidu said, “Deeply saddened by former Prime Minister and renowned economist, Manmohan Singh’s demise. An intellectual statesman, Singh embodied humility, wisdom, and integrity. From his economic reforms in 1991 as Finance Minister to his leadership as Prime Minister, he served the nation tirelessly and uplifted millions. His passing is a great loss to the nation. My heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones and admirers.”
Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer highlighted Singh’s role as the architect of India’s economic reforms, lauding his illustrious career as a thinker and scholar. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan noted his transformative policies such as LPG reforms and MGNREGA, which shaped modern India.

Former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that deeply saddened by the sudden demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. “His visionary policies and economic reforms laid the foundation for India’s rise as a global power”, Mr. Jagan added.
