
A.P. MLC elections: BJP declares Somu Veerraju as party candidate

BJP nominates Somu Veerraju for Legislative Council elections, thanking party leaders and pledging commitment to party growth and welfare.
The BJP has declared its national executive member Somu Veerraju as the candidate for elections to the Legislative Council in MLA quota scheduled to be held on March 20.
The party’s national general secretary Arun Singh issued a press release to that effect on Monday (March 10, 2025).
In a message on X, Mr. Veerraju thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president J.P. Nadda for giving him the opportunity.
He stated that was committed to working tirelessly for the party’s growth and welfare of the people of Andhra Pradesh.
With Mr. Veerraju’s nomination, the ruling coalition NDA announced candidates for elections to all the five vacant seats.
Beeda Ravi Chandra, B.T. Naidu and Kavali Greeshma are the TDP candidates while the Jana Sena Party has fielded its general secretary K. Nagababu.
