Indian Youth Congress launches 'Young India Ke Bol' campaign against unemployment and drug abuse, urging youth to join the movement.
The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) on Monday (December 9, 2024) launched the new edition of its ‘Young India Ke Bol’ campaign, focusing on unemployment and drug abuse.
IYC president Uday Bhanu Chib and All India Congress Committee in-charge of National Students’ Union of India Kanhaiya Kumar addressed a press conference at the party headquarters after the poster launch.
Urging the youth across the country to join the movement, Mr. Chib said that they had started a campaign across the nation called ‘Naukri Do, Nasha Nahi’ (Give employment, not dugs) to create awareness against drug abuse.
“We want to engage with the youth. ‘Young India Ke Bol’ Season 5 has been launched where we will give a platform to the youth who will speak up against unemployment and drug menace,” Mr. Chib said. He said anybody can take part in the campaign and those who are articulate may get a place in the organisation.
Mr. Chib said that the Bharatiya Janata Party had promised two crore jobs every year to tackle unemployment, but ever since the Modi government came to power in 2014, only 0.3% of the candidates who applied got government jobs. “That is, only three out of every 1,000 applicants got permanent government jobs,” he said.

The Karnataka government has drafted a comprehensive master plan for the integrated development of Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the State’s highest revenue-generating temple managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. The redevelopment initiative is estimated to cost around ₹254 crore and aims to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees.
