The water level in Papanasam dam stood at 84.40 feet (the maximum level is 143 feet) with an inflow of 716.20 cusecs and a discharge of 1,504.75 cusecs. The water level in Manimuthar dam stood at 80.27 feet (the maximum level is 118 feet) with an inflow of 20.36 cusecs and a discharge of 35 cusecs.
The rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Monday was (in mm): Palayamkottai 1.40, Papanasam 2, Manjolai 2, Kakkachi 4, Nalumukku 6 and Oothu recorded 9 mm rainfall.
