Water level in Papanasam dam on Tuesday stood at 126.70 feet (maximum permissible level is 143 ft.) with an inflow of 45.24 cusecs and a discharge of 1,504.75 cusecs. The level in Manimuthar dam was 112.68 ft. (118 ft.) with an inflow of 90 cusecs and a discharge of 475 cusecs.

The Karnataka government has drafted a comprehensive master plan for the integrated development of Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the State’s highest revenue-generating temple managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. The redevelopment initiative is estimated to cost around ₹254 crore and aims to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees.
