Water levels in Mullaperiyar and Vaigai dams, along with rainfall data for various areas, reported in detail.
Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 119.90 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 211 cusecs and a discharge of 755 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the water level was 56.82 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 612 cusecs and a discharge of 670 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 4,049.45 mcft. The rainfall (in mm) recorded during the last 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Sunday was as follows: Chittampatti 2.6, Kodaikanal 1.6, Sothupparai dam 1 and Madurai 0.1.

The Karnataka government has drafted a comprehensive master plan for the integrated development of Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the State’s highest revenue-generating temple managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department.
