(the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 598 cusecs and a discharge of 3,349 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 4,076.21 mcft. Rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Monday was (in mm): Mullaperiyar dam 42, Thekkadi 28.2, Uthamapalayam 13.6, Shanmuganadhi dam 6.4, Pulipatti 3.6, Gudalur 3.2, Thaniyamangalam 2, Marudhanadhi dam and Kodaikanal 1.4 each, Kallandiri and Melur 1.2 each.
