Breakaway faction marches demanding justice for Walayar girls, urging arrest of suspects and leaders protecting mother.
A breakaway faction of the Walayar Samara Samiti took out a march from Attappallam, near Walayar, to Palakkad town on Monday raising various demands, including the arrest of the mother of two minor girls who were found dead in their house on different dates in mysterious circumstances in 2017.
Two little children inaugurated the march by lighting candles at a chapel at Attappallam. The marchers demanded the arrest of Shaji, who lives with the victims’ mother, and also the leaders of the Walayar Action Council who protect the mother.
Samiti patron M.M. Kabeer, chairman A.N. Karinkarapully and general convener Raymant Antony led the march. Some relatives of the victims too took part in the march.
