Vijay Yesudas clarified rumours about KJ Yesudas’ health, confirming that the legendary singer is in good health

Vijay Yesudas, actor, playback singer and son of KJ Yesudas, has responded to the rumours about the legendary singer’s health. Recent reports said Yesudas, 85, was facing age-related issues and was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai.

“There is no truth to the reports of hospitalisation,” Vijay was quoted in an India Today report.Currently in the US, Yesudas is said to be in good health, added the report.

Yesudas, who has recorded over 50,000 songs, turned 85 on January 10, 2025. For his immense contribution for the field of music, he has been recognised with Padma Shri (1975), Padma Bhushan (2002) and Padma Vibhushan (2017).

Meanwhile, Vijay Yesudas, who has sung over 1000 songs, recently sang in the popular Tamil film Maamannan (2023), with A R Rahman being the music composer. He made a cameo appearance in the 2023 Malayalam movie Kolaambi.
