VietJet, the Vietnamese low-cost airline, has launched direct flight operations between Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) and Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The service will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. “Hyderabad has been recognised as India’s most liveable city for six consecutive years and is also the country’s fastest-growing city. With RGIA serving as a major gateway to South India, this new route will enhance convenience for travellers while strengthening cultural, tourism, and economic ties between the two regions,” said Vietjet vice-president Do Xuan Quang.

Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly approves sub-classification of Scheduled Castes. We have kept our word, asserts Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The sub-classification will be based on the 2011 Census, with Andhra Pradesh as a single unit for implementation, he says, adding that it will be applied at the district level from 2026. The exercise done in accordance with the Supreme Court’s directives will ensure equitable distribution of benefits among the SC sub-groups, he says.
