‘Viduthalai Part 2’ trailer: Vijay Sethupathi takes the front seat in Vetrimaaran’s sequel to the Soori starrer
The much-awaited trailer of Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai Part 2is out. The clip was released in a trailer and audio launch event of the film.
While the first film focussed on Constable Kumaresan played by Soori, the sequel will dig deep into the earlier days of Perumal Vaathiyaar (Vijay Sethupathi), his love life, and his rise from a union leader to the head of Makkal Padai.
The trailer also teases us with a glimpse of the captured Perumal’s tryst with Kumaresan as their two sides fight it out.
Set in 1987,Viduthalai Part 1 follows a police constable, who is recruited to arrest the leader of a separatist group. Chethan, Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon and Ilavarasu are reprising their roles from the first part. The sequel also stars Manju Warrier, Anurag Kashyap, Kishore and Bose Venkat.
Produced by Elred Kumar under the RS Infotainment banner and Vetrimaaran’s Grass Root Film Company, the film has music by Ilaiyaraaja, cinematography by R Velraj, and editing by R Ramar.
Viduthalai Part 2 will release in theatres on December 20. Watch the film’s trailer here:
