Truro Police Service says they received a report that two men, a 27-year-old from Truro and a 25-year-old from Picou Landing First Nation, N.S., attended the hospital with serious injuries consistent with stab wounds around 9:15 p.m. Thursday.
Following an investigation, police believe the victims were assaulted by one or more people and they don’t believe the incident was random.
Colchester County District RCMP responded to a report of a man in medical distress at a home on Vincent Drive in Upper Onslow around 11:50 p.m. Saturday. The 25-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The next day, police responded to a similar report of a man in medical distress at a home on Lacinia Drive in Truro around 10 a.m. Sunday. Police say the 27-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say both men were identified as the victims of the stabbings on Thursday.
The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service ruled the deaths as homicides on Monday. The investigation is ongoing.
