TFMA Trade Fair in Madurai attracted 20,000 visitors, showcasing local food products, facilitating networking, and aiding entrepreneurs with bank assistance.
About 20,000 footfalls registered at the TFMA Trade Fair organised by Tamil Nadu Foodgrains Merchants Association at Tamukkam Convention Centre in Madurai from December 22 to 25.
With more than 150 stalls, food products manufactured in areas around the district caught the interest of the public. Additionally, as facilitation was made for employees and employers to meet, it benefited both.
Trade fair Chairman A.S.V.A. Madavan said that as banks were also present at the fair, it helped young entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to the bankers to seek loan assistance.
Focus was given on millet and millet-based products as it was one of the emerging products in the food market, he added.
