
Telangana sanctions ₹540 crore for restoration of heritage structures, new buildings construction at Chakali Ilamma Univ in Hyderabad

Telangana Deputy CM allocates ₹540 crore for Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women’s University restoration and new buildings in Koti, Hyderabad.
Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka announced that the government had decided to sanction ₹540 crore for the construction of new buildings and restoration of heritage structures in the premises of Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women’s University (VCIWU) in Koti, Hyderabad.
A master plan for making the university the best in class had been prepared and it would also include restoration of the heritage buildings on the premises.
The government had sanctioned ₹15.5 crore for restoration of the heritage structures on the university premises and another ₹100 crore would be released immediately for taking up construction of new buildings with all amenities.
The main entrance to the university was located abutting the Musi river and the government had decided to reopen it once the Musi rejuvenation project was completed
.Mr. Bhatti Vikramarka, accompanied by senior officials, visited the university campus on Wednesday (March 11, 2025) and inspected the status of the structures there.
