Minister highlights development projects in Kodad constituency, including road upgrades and skill development centre inauguration.
Minister for Irrigation and Civil Supplies N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday underscored the strides made by Telangana under the Congress government, claiming that the State had become the country’s “Future State,” striking a balance between welfare and development and overcoming financial mismanagement of the previous BRS regime.
The Minister, accompanied by Kodad MLA Uttam Padmavathi Reddy, inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various development initiatives worth several crores of rupees in Kodad constituency. These projects include roads and other infrastructure upgrades aimed at boosting connectivity.
Key among the projects is a 12.8-km road linking NH-9 to Mothe, estimated to cost ₹25 crore. This twin road project will benefit several villages, including Moddulacheruvu Stage, Vijaya Raghavapuram, Repala, Narsimhulagudem and Mothey.
Another prominent initiative involves a 9.5-km road from Barkathgudem to Kagitham Ramachandrapuram at ₹20 crore, improving access to villages such as Barkathgudem, Krishnanagar, Nadigudem and Kagitham Ramachandrapuram.
Similarly, a 12.2-km road from Shanthinagar to Nadigudem, costing ₹25 crore, will serve Shanthinagar, Ananthagiri, Aminabad, Vasantapuram, Vailasingaram, Gol Thanda, Ratnavaram, Chakirala and Nadigudem.
The Minister also inaugurated a 7.50-km road connecting Akupamula to Ratnavaram, budgeted at ₹16 crore, benefiting Akupamula, Kodandarama Puram, Tellaballi and Ratnavaram. In Kodad town, a 3.3-km road from the lorry office to Komarabanda, developed at ₹18 crore, is expected to alleviate traffic congestion.
Additionally, foundation stone was laid for a new Roads & Buildings (R&B) Guest House in Kodad, spread over 22 guntas, at an estimated cost of ₹8 crore. A 10.3-km road from Chanupalli to Ananthagiri, budgeted at ₹20 crore, will improve connectivity to villages such as Ananthagiri, Polaram, Polaram Thanda and Chanupalli.

The Karnataka government has drafted a comprehensive master plan for the integrated development of Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the State’s highest revenue-generating temple managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. The redevelopment initiative is estimated to cost around ₹254 crore and aims to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees.
