Telangana endowments department officials were directed to take precautions after Tirupati stampede, ensuring safety for Sankranthi holiday devotees.
A few hours after the stampede in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, which claimed six lives on Wednesday ( January 8, 2025), Telangana Endowments Minister Konda Surekha directed the department officials to take strict precautions as large number of devotees are expected at temples during Sankranti holidays.
Principal secretary Shailaja Ramaiyer was directed to review the situation at prominent temples regularly and take necessary measures. The Minister condoled the loss of lives and conveyed condolences to the families which lost their ones.
