
T.N. Police team felicitated for performance at national equestrian meet

Chennai Police Commissioner rewards Tamil Nadu Police team for success at All India Police Equestrian Championship in Haryana.
Greater Chennai Police Commissioner A. Arun on Friday rewarded the Tamil Nadu Police team that won medals at the 43rd All India Police Equestrian Championship and Mounted Police Duty Meet, which was held in Haryana recently.
The championship is a prestigious event that brings together skilled riders and horses from various State police forces, Central Armed Police Forces, and Central Police Organisations. The annual event witnesses significant participation, with the 2024-25 edition hosting 588 riders and their horses.
The Tamil Nadu Police team was led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Shubham Nagargoje. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ajay Thangam, nine policemen, and one woman constable participated in the events held from March 10 to 25 in Bhanu, Panchkula, Haryana.
Mr. Nagargoje won a silver medal and Mr. Thangam the bronze in the ‘Officer Hacks’ category. Grade I constable P. Suganya bagged a gold medal at ‘Women Dressage’ and a silver at ‘Women’s Hacks’. M. Akash won a silver medal in the Syce test. The team also demonstrated their skills at the Police Commissioner Office in Vepery. Additional Commissioners of Police and other police officials were among those present.
