Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday (December 5, 2024) donated his one month’s salary to fund the relief operations underway to overcome the devastating impact of Cyclone Fengal in several districts.

The Chief Minister handed over the cheque to Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam at the Secretariat on Thursday, an official release said. The State government agencies have been undertaking relief measures in the districts that have been severely hit by Cyclone Fengal.
Earlier this week, Mr. Stalin announced various announced steps to help the public overcome the impact of Cyclone Fengal. The Tamil Nadu government has also requested the Union government for an interim relief of ₹2,000 crore.

The Karnataka government has drafted a comprehensive master plan for the integrated development of Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the State’s highest revenue-generating temple managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. The redevelopment initiative is estimated to cost around ₹254 crore and aims to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees.
