Thereafter, the Leader of the House Duraimurugan proposed a resolution to take only the approved speech of the Governor into the Assembly records.
The resolution was adopted following a voice vote.
Mr. Duraimurugan also recalled similar incidents in the past two years wherein the Governor had not completed his speech. Though Legislatures in other States took a different approach over similar issues in their respective States, the Chief Minister was against digressing from the tradition, Mr. Duraimurugan underlined.
As per rules, the proceedings of the House concluded with the playing of the national anthem.
