“The State has won the first prize in the country for taking up water conservation works,” Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K.S. Eshwarappa said in Belagavi on Wednesday. The Jal Shakti Abhiyan focuses on conservation of water in water-stressed taluks across the country. The State has utilised several techniques such as rainwater harvesting, renovation of traditional and other water bodies and tanks and borewell recharge structures.More Related News

The Karnataka government has drafted a comprehensive master plan for the integrated development of Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the State’s highest revenue-generating temple managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. The redevelopment initiative is estimated to cost around ₹254 crore and aims to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees.
