
Stalin visits cyclone-hit areas in Villupuram, distributes relief to residents

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday inspected cyclone-affected areas in Villupuram district and distributed relief materials to residents.
He began the tour of the affected regions in Villupuram and Cuddalore districts by visiting a multi-purpose cyclone evacuation shelter at Mandavaipudukuppam near Marakkanam and interacting with the residents. He distributed rice, blankets, and essential commodities to them.
Mr. Stalin also visited a relief centre in Villupuram and distributed cash assistance of ₹8,000 each to three families whose houses were damaged in the incessant rain. He inspected the damage to paddy crops at Kaanai, near Villupuram, and interacted with the farmers there to get a first-hand account of the damage caused to standing crops.

The Karnataka government has drafted a comprehensive master plan for the integrated development of Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the State’s highest revenue-generating temple managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. The redevelopment initiative is estimated to cost around ₹254 crore and aims to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees.
