Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directs officials to integrate government data for better citizen services using AI and technology.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to speed up the integration of data of all government departments with the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS)’s online platform and consolidate it into a ‘data lake’ to achieve better delivery of citizen services.
Addressing a review meeting on RTGS at A.P. Secretariat on Monday, Mr. Naidu said the officials should also analyse the data with the help of advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ‘deep technology’ thereby enhancing the levels of efficiency.
He stressed the importance of ‘WhatsApp Governance’ in providing access to the government services, and told the officials to expand its scope by bringing in additional services.
The Chief Minister wanted the 14,770 CCTV cameras to be put to extensive use for public safety and also leverage AI and other technologies in surveillance and crime detection.
RTGS CEO K. Dinesh Kumar briefed Mr. Naidu on various initiatives (undertaken by the RTGS), and said Google was collaborating with the State Government in augmenting the use of AI.
Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta and Chief Minister’s Secretary P.S. Pradyumna were among those present.
