Social Media Roasts The 'F' Out Of Trump Over New Fighter Jet Name

Trump praised the aircraft's "beautiful" title after he awarded Boeing with a military contract to build the future fighter jets.
Clips of Donald Trump detailing plans for future fighter jets took off among social media users over the weekend as they clowned the president over the aircraft’s name: “F-47.”
“The generals picked the title and it’s a beautiful number, F-47,” said the 47th president in a viral TikTok clip shared by NBC Bay Area before he claimed that the fighter jet possessed attributes “the likes of which nobody has seen before.”
On Friday, Trump announced that he awarded Boeing — which has struggled to combat safety concerns after crashes in recent years, a door plug blowout on a plane in 2024 and other complications — with a $20 billion military contract to build the next generation of fighter jets for the U.S. Air Force.
The announcement arrives months after the current Lockheed Martin F-35 jets have been hit with criticism — including from billionaire Elon Musk — as the program is estimated to cost taxpayers over $2 billion “over several decades,” according to the Government Accountability Office.
Trump has previously criticized Boeing as recently as last month when he slammed the company for delays in delivering new Air Force One jets.
