The Trump White House press secretary's comments were thrown right back at her.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt’s latest attempt to spin the Trump administration’s war group chat fiasco backfired as social media users repeated her own words to her in furious response.
Leavitt, during Wednesday’s White House press briefing, tried to change the narrative as she attacked Democrats over the accidental addition of The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg to a group on the Signal messaging app in which top government officials talked about war strikes in Yemen.
“If this story proves anything, it proves that Democrats and their propagandists in the mainstream media know how to fabricate, orchestrate and disseminate a misinformation campaign quite well,” Leavitt claimed.
But critics argued it was her comments that were misinformation.
