Snehamayi Krishna opts to present evidence in MUDA case instead of moving SC
The Hindu
Activist Snehamayi Krishna opts to present evidence in MUDA case to expedite legal process, bypassing Supreme Court appeal.
Instead of filing an appeal before the Supreme Court questioning the High Court’s decision to reject his petition to transfer the probe into the MUDA case to the CBI, activist Snehamayi Krishna has said that he will present the evidence in the matter before the court to expedite the legal process.
Issuing a statement on his social media account, Mr. Krishna said he arrived at such a conclusion after going through the contents of the High Court verdict on his petition seeking a CBI probe in the MUDA case, reviewing the available evidence, and analysing the matter for two days in consultation with his lawyers and well-wishers.
Instead of further delaying the legal process by filing an appeal before the Supreme Court for a CBI probe, the activist said he was confident of ensuring punishment for the accused by substantiating his allegations with the available evidence irrespective of whatever report the Lokayukta police submits about the investigation in the MUDA case.
Mr. Krishna further pointed out that though he had decided to present the evidence before the court personally as a “party in person”, he retained the right to appoint lawyers if needed. He said he aimed to ensure that justice was served as soon as possible.
