
Several trains in Tamil Nadu cancelled or short terminated due to cyclone Fengal

Southern Railway cancels and diverts trains in Tiruchirapalli Division due to bridge suspension and rising water levels.
Southern Railway on Monday (December 2, 2024) has announced cancellation or short termination of several services of Tiruchirapalli Division, due to suspension of Bridge 452 (between Vikravandi and Mundiyampakkam) and water rising above danger level.

Train No. 16127: Chennai Egmore - Guruvayur Express, leaving Chennai Egmore at 9.45 a.m. on December 2 is fully cancelled.
The following trains that began service on December 1 have been short terminated/diverted.
Train No. 17655: Kakinada port - Pondicherry Express, which left Kakinada port at 2:30 p.m., will be short terminated at Chengalpattu.
Train No. 17655: Kacheguda - Pondicherry Express, which left Kacheguda at 5 p.m., will be short terminated at Chengalpattu.
Train No. 12634: Kanniyakumari - Chennai Egmore Express, which left Kanniyakumari at 5:50 p.m., is diverted via Villupuram, Katpadi, Chennai Egmore with skipping stoppages at Tindivanam, Melmaruvathur, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Mambalam.
