As the battle for the upcoming Assembly election in Punjab gains momentum, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on June 12 joined hands to contest the polls due in early 2022 in the State. SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal made an announcement in this regard. “As per the seat-sharing arrangement, the SAD will contest 97 seats and the BSP 20,” he said here at a press conference.
