Inauguration of police outpost at RGIA to enhance safety and security for passengers and stakeholders at the airport.
A police outpost at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) was inaugurated on Saturday (March 1). The outpost is located at the arrival, C-Level of the airport. This comes at a time when the airport is experiencing a rise in the number of passengers, recording an average of 90,000 passengers daily. The establishment of RGIA police outpost is expected to enhance crime prevention and ensure a safer environment for all stakeholders. The facility will play a crucial role in handling emergency situations, assisting passengers and coordinating with various security and enforcement agencies.
The facility was inaugurated by Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty. Joint CP Traffic Gajarao Bhupal, Shamshabad DCP B. Rajesh, Additional DCP K. Ram Kumar and ACP K.S. Rao were also present.
The inauguration was attended senior officials, including Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) S.K. Mohanka, Foreigner Regional Registration Officer (FRRO) Appala Naidu and Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) Additional Director Nageshwar Reddy among others.
Representatives from GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. (GHIAL), including CEO Pradeep Panicker, Deputy CEO Kadhir Kadhiravan and Head of Security and Vigilance B. Srimnnarayanareddi, were also present at the event.
